I am sure many of you heard about the 2D fighting game engine M.U.G.E.N or tried it out, maybe some of you even created a character, stage etc for that engine.
Mugen was and is an awesome thing but it is limited to the 2D graphics and gameplay and has quite a lot other limitations.
There is a new engine called EF12 now which just got translated into English and the Japanese developer behind it, worked tons of hours to make it possible for us fighting game fans to create 3d based fighting game characters and games with this engine.
He (or they) got it into the Steam Greenlight process to get it more known and to make the popular steam workshop possible for the engine as well which means a super easy way for users to find creations made for it.
Please take a look at this trailer steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles…
and if you like what you see there, help the team to get the steam greenlight support.
This game engine will be available for FREE
, some people created characters from arcana hearts and street fighter already, and it seems that even big monsters with 4 arms like Goro are no problem.
Makes me wonder what guys like Urbanator or LonefireWarrior can do with this thing ^^
If you like what you saw there on the greenlight page, move your arse and help it getting steam support, and if the engine interests you and you want to create something with it already, you can download it here www.playism-games.com/games/ef…
If there is interest and some of you created something for this engine, and creations can be shared on dA i have no problem with supporting such creations and the engine itself on MKRebirth in the future. This thing looks damn promising!
